Description
TheSAP BTP Development Training program is designed to equip developers with the complete skillset required to build, extend, and modernize SAP applications using SAP Business Technology Platform. This course provides deep, hands-on exposure to theABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), covering concepts, architecture, and the full development lifecycle of cloud-ready enterprise applications. You begin by learning how to design CDS-based data models and define OData UI services that form the foundation of RAP applications .
A major focus of the training is understanding and buildingRAP Business Objects (RAP BOs). You will learn how to define behaviors, use the Entity Manipulation Language (EML), implement concurrency control, authority checks, actions, and messages. The course also covers managed scenarios where you configure input fields, validations, determinations, and dynamic feature control for robust transactional processing .
You will then move intodraft-enabled development, learning how drafts work and how to build draft-based transactional applications. The course extends into composite business objects, compositions within OData UI services, and behavior implementation for complex RAP structures. For scenarios requiring backend-driven logic, you will work withunmanaged transactional applications and understand how to implement custom data access .
In addition, the course includes dedicated coverage ofABAP CDS views (associations, extensions, annotations) andAMDP development, including class differences, SQLScript consumption, and AMDP-based logic execution. You will also gain exposure to essential BTP administration tasks, rounding out your readiness for real enterprise deployments.
